Entrainment is when a more powerful source of vibration or frequency causes a less powerful source of vibration to vibrate at the same frequency of the first source. Once a part of the body is vibrating to this new frequency, the blood cells carry the resonance to the rest of the body. This initial source can be a variety of things, such as tuning forks, Tibetan bowls, music, rattles, or the human voice. The human voice, in particular, has its own powerful, spiritual resonance.
I use my voice extensively in my energy sessions as well as other sources of sound. Often I tone or chant. Sometimes also I sing/speak in "Tongues". |
Sound healing operates on the premise that alll matter is made of energy vibrating at different frequencies. Think of the human body as an orchestra with the individual 'instruments' being each cell, muscle, bone, and organ playing together in one great piece of music. When one of those components plays 'out of tune', then whole song (or body) is affected. By using sound with intention, the body can be brought back into 'tune'. This occurs by resonance and entrainment.
